The song is about the city I was born and raised in, and how a lot of the job markets are seasonal, resulting in massive lay-offs every year and the financial problems and depression that follow. Someone needs to invest in St.Catharines' economy BADLY.

Summers gone and Im waking to the cold of winter on my face. This city is so hard on us this time, but it's our place. Thawing snow and warmer skies bring us hope of better days. But this winters just been
too much for me, I feel beaten-down in this space.
