Originally this song was titled "Why You". However, after the chorus was added and another few days of work put into it, I liked this title better.
The cold is leaving now. The summers almost here, and you can see the toll, my weathered face has hardened this last year. Those Autumn Leaves will all soon be swept away for new ones to bud and grow and fall, to die right in their place. We walked the city hand-in-hand like we used to. And then you looked right though, into my eyes. Your words then followed through. You said, “Why you?” I tip my hat and acknowledge the generation passed. And I don’t think my songs as copy-cats but Id recreate to ask for a pure and simple vehicle to letting this all out. And we’re preserved inside these little songs to spoil in the now.
